You may have already invested time and money into creating great content for your blog, but that alone won’t be enough to get it noticed. You need the right strategies in place – ones that will make sure your blog is discoverable and well-ranked on Google.
We have compiled five proven techniques that are sure to help drive more traffic to your break. Read on to learn more about how they can change the game of getting discovered online!
1. Enrich Your Post with Multimedia assets
The first strategy is to make your blog enticing to the reader.
After writing your Content, you need to enhance your Post/ Content to make it visually appealing.
Enhancement strategies can include adding the following: –
- Quality images on your Blog to convey a point
- Graphs, Charts, Infographics, or Gif images,
- Video or Audiovisual elements to make your blog post more engaging for users on social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter.
This step can be time-consuming. You must choose the appropriate audiovisual files and choose a proper formatting method.
To contextualise your ideas, you must format, space, juggle with Widgets, and submit quality premium/paid photos when uploading to your Website.
And you also have to pay attention to where to post your Content. Many marketers make the mistake of thinking that they should post their Content anywhere and everywhere they can. However, this is not the best strategy.
Instead, you should post your Content in places that are most relevant to your target audience.
2. Indexing on Google Search Console
One of the key strategies to be found on the Google search engine.
Your Blog and Content are supposed to give you the Traffic you deserve, but if your Content fails to index on Google Search Engine, your audience will not find your Content.
Ask yourself these three questions:-
- Is your site registered on the Google Search Console (GSC)?
- Have you added your Website sitemap_index.xml into GSC?
- Have you uploaded the latest sitemap.xml file to your host server?
You may have a website but if your webmaster didn’t index your website into the Google Search Console, it is not going to appear online.

Indexing is an essential step in the content marketing strategy. It helps you get more Traffic to your site, which will help you grow your brand. When you post something on your Website, it will automatically index on the search engines so that it will appear in their search engine results.
Failing to do any of the above actions will disrupt Google from indexing (registering) your Blog or Content to the Search Engine.
For your Blog or Content to appear on Google, it is essential to ensure that Google can find your site — not just through search engines but also through crawling the internal links of other websites.
You can do this by creating an XML sitemap at https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/
Once generated, it will include all pages on your site so you can upload them to your Host Server.
Once done, you can now add it to Google Search Console.
Make sure to include the word “index”. E.g HTTPS://(domain)/sitemap_index.xml
This action will allow Google to easily access every Content on your site without having to crawl through all its pages one by one — which can be time-consuming for both parties involved.
You can also speed up this process by manually indexing your Blog on the Google Search Console. But note your site must have proper establishment with GSC. See image below.

3. Link-building & Indexing on GSC
This step is a highly time-consuming process, but necessary. Our website is still work-in-progress when indexing our backlinks to GSC; there is no end to link building and indexing on GSC.
For your Blog to reach 1st page Search Engine Results Page (SERP), it needs to have multiple backlinks pointing at your Blog for Google to deem it credible.
And if your keywords are highly competitive in your industry, you need to keep building backlinks or reference links to your blog to maintain your SERP position.
When you have ongoing visitors visiting (aka. Traffic) your Website, Google AI will increase your Domain and Page Authority.
Therefore, after you’ve created and posted your Content, you would want to invest money to build backlinks to your Content to make it easier for people to find it. You can ask others to link to your Content via guest blogging, submitting a story, or site registration on other websites with links pointing to your Blog or Website.
Backlinks are links from external sites pointing to your site, webpage, or Blog.
Doing this step can generate Traffic to your site and help you gain more Domain authority in your industry.
To find relevant Do-follow Backlinks, we recommend using SEMrush or Ahref. We utilise these two tools at Business Ignite, and we can give you lengthy backlinks reports of your competitors for free if you are a Member.
If I were you, I would invest the resources to build backlinks for your cornerstone Blog or Content, as It can be expensive to establish links for all your Blogs and web pages.
The more backlinks are attached to your Blog, the more likely that Google recognises it as a credible source of information on the subject matter.
Google uses backlinks as one of the ranking indicators; therefore, establishing as many backlinks as possible will help your Blog or page appear on the first page.
However, do not buy bulk purchase re-direction links from overseas SEO blackhat sellers or buy rubbish robot links from overseas freelancers to game the SEO algorithm. Google bots are more intelligent than that – if the inbound links do not have credibility, ie. score zero (0) on the page authority, it has no effect or influence on your ranking.
Remember, when it comes to backlinks building, quality outweighs quantity.
4. Distribute Content across different channels & platforms
To optimise your Blog, you need to distribute and publish your Content on multiple channels and platforms.
Distributing your written Content across channels helps achieve maximum reach potential with minimal effort required—especially if you’re running multiple sites simultaneously! Examples of channels and platforms include social media, email newsletters, videos, eBooks, and more.
In addition, this distribution strategy allows your Content to access different audience bases, so you don’t alienate followers when posting about various topics or events.
This specific strategy also helps generate more visitors and Traffic to your Website.
You can achieve this quicker by creating shortened links to your Blog and attaching them to different platforms.
There are paid tools such as tinyurl or bitly
However, if you want a free license right of a similar tool, you can become a member of Business Ignite, and we will add a micro software plugin tool to your Website so that you can shorten, track, and analyse your Blog and Content. *For a limited time only at the time of writing*, this offer will end without notice.

5. Slice & Dice your Blog into pieces for Repackaging
Just like Disney, Marvel, and DC Universe franchisors sell rights to marketers to slice, repackage, and re-productise every element of their media content into books, toys, lunchboxes, water bottles, stationeries, software, and games – you can do the same at a smaller scale.
You have invested time, resources, and money into producing your Content. Now is the time to slice & dice it, repackage and re-productise it to distribute to multiple audiences.
Take the main points of your Blog and convert them into: –
- Image
- Quotes
- YouTube video
- Text
- Books
- Social media posts

- Demographic, behavioural, and psychographic data
